My name is Todd Daehnert, and I am a Texas-based LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor). I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Baylor University and a Masters in Counseling at Amberton University.
I recently worked at HopeWorks Counseling Center, an affiliate of Prestonwood Baptist Church for two years. Prior to that, I was the Director of Paul Meier Clinics in their Day Program in Richardson, TX after working with New Life Ministries where I currently lead groups as needed at their workshops. I completed my internship program with Dr. Paul Meier and was fortunate enough to speak on various topics with him on the radio (KWRD 100.7 FM).
I have served as an adjunct professor at Dallas Baptist University where I taught in the Psychology Department. I also have worked with PEAK Leadership helping train other professionals provide coaching for their organization.
I have been married for 16 years to my wife Amy. We have a 7-year old son named Blake Andrew, and a 4-year old daughter named Hannah Brynn. We also have two King Charles spaniels named Marley and Max who are two years old. My family attends a Bible Fellowship Church where we are very involved. As far as hobbies, I love to work around the home, play sports as well as watch them with my wife (she’s worse than me!), read, and relax with the family most of all. I am an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and have been for years now despite years of many woes! Family is the most important aspect of my life which is one of the reasons I own my own business.
I consider myself very fortunate to work in a field I love and can’t imagine ever doing anything else. My clients often ask how I am able to hear what I hear every day and not allow myself to burn out. Although it can be draining at times, my efforts to maintain a healthy, balanced lifestyle allows me to teach others how to do the same and not get burned out in a career or family life.
